A Short Zen Story

A few friends checked my blog and told me that the stuff that I wrote was bit somber and/or melancholic (it was heavily serious kind of thing). Well, that wasn't my aim, I want to write also funny stuff and have an enjoyable blog :-) (Look I put even a smiley here!).

Well, I think a lot about many subjects, if it's the reason?!. Ok, from now on I think I'll not "think" that deep anymore!

But as I wrote in my first post - or the comment below the blog page-, things I wrote here may be the result of my imagination. At the end this is my virtual thought book -- "personal thoughts on public space", how strange. I should write down something about it once.

Now for your enjoyment I'll write a small, funny story, a zen story to be exact. it's quite metaphorical (damn, I can't stop myself! Try to be funny and tell a zen story!) Anyway...

The Meaning Of Life

A young zen monk went to his zen master and asked:
- Master tell me, how can I understand the meaning of life? What do I have to do to become "an enlightened one"?
Old Zen Master looked at his young student and asked:
- Did you eat your meal?
Zen monk said:
- Yes!.
- Then clean up your dirt and wash your dishes.

Ok, now I have to clean my own dishes, but I have to eat first.

Don't ever stop thinking deep! I like your blog, and liked this Zen story very much.

I think its very possible to realize that sometimes it is difficult to attatch meaning to life and to life's events, but that doesn't take away from our capacity to be happy. Keep up the good work and don't change a thing!

M.

PS...check out my blog if you want...i think I can be quite down about things, especially when I cant figure something out or when something doesnt quite make sense. It comes and it goes.
